Presently March 2022
Travel News, Travel Offers & more …
As winter moves to spring, the month of March offers glimpses of beauty where “the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade” along with the first darling buds of daffodils to nudge above the frost covered grounds to signify that sunnier days are ahead. The beginning of Spring also offers Daylight Savings and perfect celebrations such as International Women’s Day (March 8), National Pi Day (March 14), St. Patrick’s Day (March 17), the official First Day of Spring (March 20), to note a few. The month of March 2022 is also special for each Piscean and Arien born during this month.
In our February’s e-column, we noted a number of countries where international travel restrictions had been eased. Travel restrictions continues to be eased in many more countries. While we look forward to better days ahead with some hope for normalcy to return, I can’t help but mention here that this past week the world had and continues to witness the devastation unfolding in #ukraine. The people of Ukraine will not know normalcy as they have known, for a very very long time to come. I am certain that Ukraine will rebuild and I shall visit one day as it is on my bucket list.
Welcome to Presently March 2022, our monthly e-column
With some travel restrictions being abolished in some countries, travel to and in the European Union and Schengen Area countries are easing for fully vaccinated travellers. Here are some countries where travel rules have been relaxed:
1 | Australia
After almost two years of travel restrictions, Australia has opened its borders and welcoming international visitors again. Fully vaccinated travellers do not need to quarantine upon arrival but they do need to take a PCR test upon arrival. Read more on Australia’s international travel requirements.
2 | FRANCE
Travellers who provide valid vaccination or recovery certificate can now travel to France without restrictions. Unvaccinated and unrecovered travellers from a ‘Green’ country may also travel to France provided they can provide a negative test result. Read more on the rules > Travel to France.
3 | GREECE
Travellers from EU/Schengen Area along with nationals from Australia, Canada and the USA can travel freely provided they can present a valid vaccination, recovery or a test certificate.
Travellers from other countries would still need to present a vaccination or recovery certificate plus an additional pre-entry test. Read more on Travel to Greece.
4 | Italy
Regardless of the country of origin, all travellers are permitted entry to Italy provided they present a valid vaccination/recovery certificate or a negative test result. Learn more on Italy’s Travel Rules.
