Encompassing diverse customs and traditions that existed since prehistory, these deeply rooted colourful heritage is passed on from one generation to the next. The simplicity in the diversity and commonality that surrounds the multitude of cultures here is undeniably rich. As well, fascinating Asia is a continent that is quintessentially spiritual and a place where you find solace in its simplicity.

Asia is a region that never ceases to amaze me. I know it well, having been born and raised in Malaysia until my early 20’s and having returned on multiple occasions. The Asian traditions, languages, and customs have always fascinated me and I value these tapestries very much.

The continent is like a vibrant cultural mosaic, where each country and community weaves its unique thread into the intricate tapestry of Asian heritage. From the bustling streets of Tokyo to the serene temples of Thailand, the diversity of cultures across Asia is awe-inspiring. This rich tapestry of traditions coexisting side by side is a testament to the resilience of the people and the harmonious blending of ancient practices with modern influences. Russian Federation (partly in Asia)

Welcome to the Russian Federation, a transcontinental country that stretches across Eastern Europe and Northern Asia. With a significant part of its landmass in Asia, the regions of Siberia and the Russian Far East offer stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural diversity. From the cosmopolitan cities of European Russia, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, to the remote wilderness of Siberia, encompassing cities like Novosibirsk and Irkutsk, and the Russian Far East with cities like Vladivostok, this diverse nation’s unique geographical position bridges two continents, shaping its history, culture, and identity.

Siberia, in particular is home to coniferous forest, mountain ranges and lakes. Lake Baikal, the world’s deepest lake is situated on the south of the region. Lake Baikal is surrounded by a network of hiking paths called the Great Baikal Trail which is a popular destination for hikers and adventurers.

As I reflect on the incredible travel destinations I’ve explored throughout Asia since my young age, I’m reminded of the vast diversity and endless adventures this continent offers. From the tranquil shores of Penang, Malaysia to the vibrant streets of Gion in Kyoto, along with the many historical wonders, and skyscrapers, Asia is a continent well worth exploring.
