Asia is a region that never ceases to amaze me. I know it well, having been born and raised in Malaysia until my early 20’s and having returned on multiple occasions. The Asian traditions, languages, and customs have always fascinated me and I value these tapestries very much.

With a significant part of its landmass in Asia, the regions of Siberia and the Russian Far East offer stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural diversity. From the cosmopolitan cities of European Russia, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, to the remote wilderness of Siberia, encompassing cities like Novosibirsk and Irkutsk, and the Russian Far East with cities like Vladivostok, this diverse nation’s unique geographical position bridges two continents, shaping its history, culture, and identity.
Siberia, in particular is home to coniferous forest, mountain ranges and lakes. Lake Baikal, the world’s deepest lake is situated on the south of the region. Lake Baikal is surrounded by a network of hiking paths called the Great Baikal Trail which is a popular destination for hikers and adventurers.
